Phillip S. from Richmond, VA did a wonderful job on his Winston Key West furniture choosing our Golden Mistletoe slings:
The project has been completed and we are extremely satisfied with the results. Your fabric is a great match with our patio/house and the installation instructions made the whole job relatively painless.
Thank you for the glides, which nicely capped off the final product!
You have my permission to use the photos attached as well as my endorsement.

Allan Davidson from Burmuda did a great job restoring his Molla strap furniture with the help of our DIY Videos:
With new paint and new straps, our chairs look as good as the day we bought them – 38 YEARS AGO!!!
Many thanks for your help with the new straps.
I really appreciated the web site video regarding the fitting process. It works very well if you just follow the instructions.
Again – many thanks from a very happy customer….
Jim Purcell from Union, Kentucky chose our Sierra Sands fabric for his replacement slings and offers an alternative method for installing the slings:
We are very happy with the results!!
I purchased replacement slings for a 15 year old Innova with a straight back bar. The chairs were white with a light colored sling. I removed the old slings, painted the chairs black and then installed the new fabric (Sierra Sands). They look like new chairs. Before and after pictures are included.
The measurements were dead on. However, I did have to modify your instructions to make the install. On the Innova with the straight back bar the sequence that worked best for me was as follows:
- Cut away old sling
- Remove track on one side
- Slightly loosen bolts on the track that is still attached to chair
- Install sling first into track that is still attached to chair
- Then install sling into the removed track
- Most importantly pull fabric all the way up the track into its final position before installing straight back bar
- Install removed track leaving the bolts loose
- Use spreader bar to install straight back bar
- Then tighten all bolts.
Once I figured out how to modify the instructions the install only took about 20 minutes per chair.
Thanks for you help and a great product.
Note from Patio Furniture Rehab: The method this customer offers can be used for some installations but in some cases (depending on the furniture manufacturer and fabric choice) you may find the spreader bar will not spread the rails far enough apart to install the straight bar so using the method found here may help. Tropitone furniture made installation of the straight bar easier than most as they have a cut out on one side for you to insert the bar where the end cap is placed.
Irmgard Slimko of Michigan found that rehabilitating her quality made Woodard furniture using our 1.5" vinyl with j-clips was worth the effort and saved her money:
To whom it may concern:
I can't express how happy I am with my refurbished Woodard Patio
furniture. The instructions from watching the video were so clear and
informative. I have completed 4 chairs, main table, 3 stack tables. I
still need to work on 2 rockers and a chaise lounge to complete the set
that I have. Yes, it was a lot of work, but I saved myself considerable
amounts of money, feel that I have really accomplished something, and
participated in being green versus adding to the land fills. I am so
thankful I ran across your website on the internet. THANK YOU!!!
Florin G. from Michigan completed this patio furniture rehab using our Matrix fabric replacement sling:
We ordered material for one of our chairs and the size fit perfectly. We were very happy with it.Thank you.-Florin G
Maureen T. of Lexington, KY restored the beauty of her Woodard furniture using our Mohave fabric:
Our Woodard patio chairs are 23 years old. The sling fabric was worn, torn, and stained. We are very pleased with our "new" chair. The replacement slings save a lot of money and rehab is earth friendly! Maureen T. of Lexington, KY
These are the before and after photos of my patio furniture that is about 25 years old. As you can see it made quite a difference and they now look brand new. Using the website DIY videos, this made this project much easier.
Michael - Charleston, SC
Hi Denny,The new slings for our Nomad chairs arrived yesterday as scheduled. This morning we re-assembled the chairs and they look fantastic!!! ~ and are wonderfully comfortable too!!! A while ago you sent me a couple of pictures from another customer who asked you to remake slings for them. So I thought that I would send you a couple of pictures of the product you made for us. Please feel free to the pictures in any manner you want. I do have other pictures if you want something taken from another angle. We really are delighted with the work done for us. Please say thank you to the seamstress who did the actual sewing. The work is exemplary. It's so nice to see the result of skill and pride in something these days.By the way, in addition to the offer of other pictures, please feel free to use us as references for your service.Monette and John Cotton
Anita B. from Park Ridge, IL restored her own Woodard Ionian patio furniture:
I bought this "Woodard Ionian" patio set (used) about 10 years ago because I liked the curved lines of the metal frames.
Over time, the color scheme lost its luster when the metal started to discolor and the vinyl became spotted with age.
Researching how I might refurbish the patio furniture, I was stunned to see my exact patio furniture mentioned by name on the Patio Furniture Rehab site. Not only that, there was a VIDEO on how to replace vinyl straps on a Woodard Ionian chair -- an exact duplicate of the chairs in my set.
Here's how my husband and I tackled the project:
Step 1: MEASURE AND ORDER STRAPS. Presuming you will be ordering pre- cut straps, it's best to determine the length of your new straps BEFORE removing the existing ones. (This presumes your existing straps are not sagging, but taut.) Use a fabric tape measure to determine the actual length that the vinyl straps must accommodate -- including the portions that wrap around the J-Clip. Per instructions on the patiofurniturerehab.com web site, you multiply this measurement by .85 and round up to the nearest 1/4 inch to determine the CUT LENGTH of the straps. (The color we used is "Holly".) Step 2: DISMANTLE. Remove (cut off) the existing vinyl straps and save the "J-clips" in a safe place. If you lose some, you can get them from patiofurniturerehab.com Step 3: PAINT the metal frames, if desired. We used oil-based Rustoleum in black; applied it with a brush. Step 4: AFFIX THE NEW STRAPS. We suggest using the TWO PERSON / TWO POT METHOD, described below.
TWO PERSON / TWO POT METHOD
SETUP: Boil water in two large pots, then reduce heat to just BELOW boiling. In each pot, place about 8 straps. Take one pot to your work area while the other one stays on the burner (just below boiling point).Person 1 -- the stronger one -- should wear rubber gloves.THE METHOD:Using tongs, Person 1 removes a hot strap from the pot, while Person 2
(the cuter one) gets two J-clips in place on the frame. With the first J-Clip ON THE FRAME (held in place with one finger of Person 2 as needed), Person 1 places one end of the strap on the point of the J-clip, then loops the strap around the frame and stretches the strap across the frame to the opposing J-Clip.Person 2 is in charge of keeping the opposing J-Clip in place with one hand (under the frame) while the other hand guides the opposing end of the stretched strap through the frame opening, and pushes the strap-hole over the point of the J-Clip.(I wish we had a third person to take a video).
Repeat until you are out of straps in this pot,Take the pot back to the burner, put 8 more straps in it, turn up the heat a little, and bring out the other pot, and repeat "THE METHOD"
HELPFUL TIP: There are some tight spots on the frame that don't allow much room for maneuvering, e.g. adjacent to arm rests, and some curves that can make things tricky in terms of J-Clips sliding around. After struggling with these tricky spots on one chair, we learned to place the hot straps in "easier" locations first, and then slide them into place (around curves or in the tight spots adjacent to the arm rests).
We couldn't be happier with the results of this project. Thanks to
Dennis at Patio Furniture Rehab for his support and encouragement.
Good luck on your project.
The chair looks like new and it was easy to do after watching the "how to"
video. Thanks so much!

P.S The sling fits and looks great.
Paul Thomas from Roseville, MN with our standard Burgundy fabric slings:
Included are a few pictures of the patio sling chair I recently re-slung
using your products. As you can see in the images, the project was a
success. We love the burgundy color we chose.
It was quite simple using your sized, cut and sewn material. I've included
an image close-up of one of the slots where the material is inserted to
offer a hint. I used a file and rounded the corners of the slot before
trying to slide the material up the slot. It made it MUCH easier to slide
the material up the slot.
Thank you for your product and communicating when my product shipped.

Thanks again and looking forward to using your company again if the need arises.
Dave from Jacksonville, Florida completing double-wrap straps:
To sales department
My order was received as promised and was correct. I repaired 4 chairs and 2 chaise lounge complete. You can see the chaise lounges in the back ground on the one picture. I have 5 more chaise lounges to do but I'll wait until I know someone that needs them, before I go and replace the straps. I am the maintenance man at a homeowners association and they wanted to get rid of them, so I took them home and repaired them, they are real nice like new after I restrapped them. It was not hard at all to replace the straps after a few straps you get the hang of it real quick. Thank You I'll be in touch.

I asked Denny a number of questions over a period of time and he was extremely helpful and allayed my concerns. I re-strapped 5 patio chairs and found the process to be extremely easy. It was well worth the effort because I saved 100’s of dollars over new chairs or even paying someone else to do it. The chairs turned out so well I will now do 2 more chairs, a chaise lounge, and a table.
